Max Albert Carlier is a Belgian painter born in Tourcoing in 1872 and died in Brussels in 1938, aged 66.
Painter of the Belgian school, he worked mainly in Brussels on genre scenes and interiors, still lifes of flowers and fruit. He traveled throughout Europe and especially in Italy. He lived for a while in Brittany he painted. Known as a painter of still-lifes, landscapes and the occasional figurative piece.
