Auteur: BUENINCK BERNARDUS (1864 - 1933)

Bernardus Bueninck (Arnhem, August 14, 1864 - Groningen, October 21, 1933) was a Dutch artist. Bueninck lived and worked in Vorden, Zutphen and Groningen. Was draftsman and painter. He probably had character education in Rotterdam from 1885 to 1888. Since 1894 he was a drawing teacher at the Burger Joint Evening school at Groningen from 1895 also at the Gem. H.B.S. He painted and drew landscapes and harbor views. Commissioned by J.B. Wolters Uitgeversmaatschappij Groningen he painted many schoolbook images for geographical education. He was also an illustrator of schoolbooks. In 1898 he created the tire design for the childrenbooks Children Love; little stories for Wolters.
